Counselling Style

I am a person centred counsellor and solution focus based therapist which means that I am here to focus on you and the thoughts and feelings you are experiencing, to provide emotional support and a safe environment whilst you find your own answers and build on your strengths. This is to help empower you to make your own decisions and build confidence and self-worth.  Sessions are client-led and allow clients to explore/discuss anything they choose.

First Session

Our first session will be to discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve we can then put together a working agreement. This will enable us to make the best use of our time together.

Types of Counselling

I provide online/telephone counselling nationally in the UK for £45.00 via MS Teams or Skype and offer a free 15-minute online or telephone assessment is available.

I work with adults only.

Experience

I have over 3 years of experience working in the fields of addiction and mental health, having worked in private and community addiction services, a housing association, leading mental health charity MIND and NHS IAPT services. I have worked with clients facing various addictions, mental health conditions, trauma, abuse, grief/loss, relationship problems/infidelity, communication, and gender identity issues to name a few.

Qualifications and training

CPCAB Counselling Skills Level 2

CPCAB Counselling Studies Level 3

CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level 4

I am fully insured, hold a current enhanced DBS and a registered member of the BACP.
